We run a lot of dance schools and the dance teachers always want to jump back and forward between cues/tracks.
A button to stop the current cue, move to the next (or previous) cue, then play, would be extremely handy.
Thanks!
Jump to next/last track buttons
Re: Jump to next/last track buttons
The best way to have quick shortcuts "Jump to next, Go Back, is using a midi keyboard or midi controller (I use a Korg Nanopad2 which is very small, useful and affordable (60$)).
Then
- Go to Editor/Production Properties/Cue Control.
- Enable Cue from these interfaces (don't forget to check Midi IN Port, Contol Method (MIDI Note ON), MIDI Channel).
- Go to the list below "Cue Control Commands
-Activate "Note On" in front of the functions you need (eg: Go, Stop Everything, Pause/Resume, Go to Top etc.)
A small window called "kk" will open.
Enter the number of Midi note which will play the functions (eg on Nanopad, Midi Notes are 36,37,37 etc.)
- Apply device Changes
You can now use your Midi controller to use your favorite shortcuts.
Another trick :
If you want to play a Cue with your Midi Keyboard or controller :
Then you check "Play Cue 1-127 in this area.
Then Go to Editor/Cue page.
it allows you to play any cue via MIDI Note, just by entering a MIDI Note number in the MIDI/DMX Cue small window.
Very useful for Hotkey Cues.
You can use this trick for Sounds, Videos/Images, Sto/Fade-out, etc.
Enjoy it
