Hi Mike.
Thanks for this upgrade: on first playing about it seems to be really excellent with some new features and changes that make life easier still.
Just one thought: and it may actually be pretty easy to add:
I work with an Amateur Dramatic theatre group and am the 'main man' when it comes to the sound department. I have others now using the SCS system and sound at the theatre is now regularly praised in reviews. Those others though have relatively little sound experience (I am ex-BBC sound engineer....) and thus need a bit of hand-holding. I spend quite a bit of time re-doing their plots, setting up devices for them etc so that they can contribute positively and certainly run the shows, but each time I change something I end up sending emails etc describing the changes, or leaving handwritten notes on the theatre PC!
If there was a "Notes" page available (say in the Editor under Production Properties) I could detail changes made, in situ, locked into the production, with no chance of them not picking up the email or leaving it at home.........
Would that be too much to ask?
All the best: great programme getting very popular round here with Am Dram groups at least.
Add a "Helpful Notes" page to Editor Production Properties??

Mark, how about just leaving a text or Word 'readme' file in the Production Folder? You won't read it through SCS but it would be in the right place, so shouldn't get lost. Just a thought.

That's a good suggestion, and you take it one step further to virtually integrate it into your SCS cue list by adding as your first cue Run External Program to display the file. Use the ... browse button against File or Program to Run to locate your text or Word file. Currently the note will appear in a window behind the SCS window because SCS sets focus back to it's own main window after initiating the 'Run Program'. But I could add a property to the cue to enable you to let focus go to the target program's window.Criterion_Earlsdon wrote:Mark, how about just leaving a text or Word 'readme' file in the Production Folder? If you only sometimes want the note displayed, you could disable the cue when the note is not required.

Hello Mike,
i know it is already there, but i`d like some changes to the Notes issue. Could you set up a "always on top" extra window (child) which shows the content of "required when" of the next manual cue in RTF-format, so that it can hold more text in multiple lines and individual formats and colors. And it would be great to be able to edit the text directly in this window whithout entering the editor.
This would increase the size of cuefiles, but only if exessivly used.
Greetings,
Uwe
