I have just gotten one of those new "webtop" mini-laptop computers. My plan was to strip it down to the bone - nothing more than the operating system (WinXP) and SCS, and dedicate it to use for theater sound effects. The box is great (bootup time is only 45 seconds), but one thing I had not considered was the screen resolution - only 1024x600. I now realize that SCS requires 1024x768 - I didn't read the fine print. Although the SCS program is still usable for performance, the Editor panel is too long to fit in 1024x600 resolution, so editing has to be done on another machine.
Mike, with the proliferation, power, and low cost of these new "webtop" computers, I was wondering if you would consider adding a scroll bar to the Editor panel to allow users to have full functionality of SCS even in a 1024x600 display. Clearly, there is an advantage to the user to have a 1024x768 display (you wouldn't have to scroll to get to all controls). But if you were to add a little scrolling functionality to the editor screen, you would provide additional flexibility to the product, and potentially open up a new market for SCS for users who don't want to purchase a full laptop, but have access to one of the lower cost "webtop" machines.

Re: Scroll bar on Editor panel for 1024x600 displays
I'll have a look at adding a scroll bar to the Editor window if necessary, and limiting the depth if the screen height is less than 768. I was wondering if these smaller displays would take off - developments in computer technology usually result in bigger displays with higher resolutions, not smaller displays!

Yeah, go figure. It seems in the computer world, we're pushing both ends of the scale. And sometimes smaller is better!
Thanks!

Mod ready for next release (10.4.0). New minimum screen size will be 960x600, although recommended minimum remains at 1024x768. If the screen height is less than 768 a vertical scroll bar may be displayed against the cue and sub-cue properties in the Editor.
