Would it be possible to make the operation of delayed sub cues simply compare the their start time with the main cue elapsed time, and then be initiated when the sub-cue start time exceed the elapsed time? At present it seems they run their own independent count down.
I ask this because most of my use of SCS involves musical backing tracks and the sub cues tend to be level changes for vocals / Inst. During rehearsal it is frequently needed to just play a small section of the track to get that bit right. However this jumping leaves all the sub cues "lost in space".
At present I "Work around" this by having all level changes as separate cues and timed "Before End" of the music track, but this is a touch messy!
The only down side I can see may be if people set start times longer than the main cue length.
Personally I would always time from the end under those circumstances.
(Having the option to start either way, would cover it all, if that is not being too cheeky!)
One would of course not be able to jump back and forth, but if the routine was always to go to the start then jump to your chosen spot then everything should fall into place. (SCS would need to run Sub cues in time order to end up at the right place)
I have vague recollections of mentioning this before, so my apologies if it has been dropped for valid reasons
