Collect *SOME* Production Files

I use SCS for walk up music for corporate conferences and award shows etc.

For each event I start a new SCS cue file, add any unique audio files such as voice overs and specific music the client may have asked for. I collect these production files into a show folder as they are unique to that event. This way I have them in one place for moving between laptops and for archiving etc. I then import cues from my generic SCS cue file which is stored on my laptop. I don't collect the production files from my generic cue file otherwise I would end up with unnecessary file duplicates across all of my event folders.

Often the client will make last minute changes after I've already imported cues from my generic SCS show. I still want to be able to collect any unique files into the folder without copying my generic cues so I would like to be able to select which production files I collect so that I can collect the unique files but not create duplicates from my generic show file.

I am imagining a menu similar to the 'Import Cues from another SCS file' where you have to tick which cues you want to import. I think this same interface for which cues fo you want to collect their production files for would work well.

This does seem a request for a very specific type of event. Maybe a solution would be to provide an extra optional condition in 'Collect Production Files', to exclude collecting files from a nominated folder. That nominated folder location could be saved in the SCS 'Preferences File' so you do not have to browse for it every time.

A GUI option to collect into the current show directory (with a confirmation question) would be a way of doing this - if the target directory is the same as the current directory and a file already exists then the copy of that file would be skipped. Currently it won't let you do that.

Or a "collect external files" option to collect only files that are not in the current directory intot he current directory (and modify the cues accordingly).

It's something I've wanted to do quite a few times (well actually for every show) as the machine where I build the .scs file is not the one I use to run the show, so I need to gather all the files to transfer (over the network) the show to the performance machine. Yes, there are workarounds, but to do it in one or two clicks would be great.
