It would be very helpful if the loop function of sound file cue types had the option of selecting a variable "LOOP START" point as well as length.
That way you could have a sound cue that has an intro, then only loops the end part of the file.
For example:
File duration - 15.33
Start at - 0.8
Loop Start - 7.66
Repeat at - 12.46
So the file would start at 0.8 seconds in and play until 12.46 seconds, then it would repeat back to the "Loop Start" position at 7.66 seconds, rather than the beginning.
So if "Loop Start" (or whatever you want to call that) was left blank, the default starting point would be the "Start at" point or zero, if that was also blank.
Make sense?
Can you see how this would be useful?
You could have the intro of a bit of music, then find a certain phrase and repeat only that, rather than the whole thing.
Also, it might be nice to also consider a "How many times" option for looping.
Thanks!

Loop start is coming, and also a loop release function.
Taking your example, the file would start at 0.8 seconds in and play until 12.46 seconds, then it would repeat back to the "Loop Start" position at 7.66 seconds. If the loop release is activated then when the end of the loop is next reached (the 12.46 point) the file would continue playing until the 'end at' point (or end of file) as reached.
No plans currently to include "number of times" around the loop, although that would be a fairly simple enhancement.
