[In 11.9.0] Animated GIFs

Post by bleahy » Sun Jul 01, 2012 9:02 am

I have a need to show animated GIF's for various shows. Currently I use a note cue to start an external viewer program but them I must manually stop that program which is kind of a pain in the neck during a fast cue sequence. If the normal slide/video display cue would properly show animated GIFs it would be really great.

BTW...I love SCS!!!! :D

I, too, have a need to show animated GIF's but apparently SCS doesn't support them. I have to resort to the same approach shown above. Are there any plans to have GIF support as image type?

Thanks,

and me too, love SCS

Support for animated GIFs will be included in SCS 11.9.0, due for release very soon. There will be some restrictions - primarily no fading in/out, no resizing, and no repositioning. Also, only one animated GIF image may be displayed at once, so you will not be able to display simultaneously two animated GIF images to two separate screens.
