I am getting an error message showing the above message. (attached)
The PC is running Windows 11 Pro (10.0.2261.4037)
SCS is version 11.10.5 (x64)
Unfortunately I cannot get into SCS at all to create a diagnostic file. I have tried shift clicking to start and checked all the boxes including factory reset. Next load it asks me to enter my authorization details. On restarting SCS it comes up with the same message.
There are working audio devices connected and they work ok with other applications.
I have also uninstalled and reinstalled an older version of SCS which still exhibits the same error.
Currently have 11.10.5 installed.
Any ideas?
Terry

Re: SCS cannot find audio devices
I haven't come across that before. SCS doesn't create diagnostic files anymore because it now creates log files. Log files are created and saved in a folder named "SCS Logs" under "Documents". Please email me the log file from this or a similar run.

Re: SCS cannot find audio devices
Update for the benefit of other users: the log file showed there was no DirectSound driver, so only WASAPI devices were available. A fix has been applied to SCS 11.10.6, which will now handle scenarios where no DirectSound devices are available.
Re: SCS cannot find audio devices
I'm getting similar problems when trying to open an old saved file from another computer that had different audio devices.
When I click the Review/Change device map it still fails and eventually crashes because it can't find an audio device. I can create a brand new file with a DirectSound audio device without issues. I have SoundMan-Server but it wasn't used for this file ---- but it is checking and then creating a new device map I believe. So finally it gets to the point of selecting the "Use Primary Device" and gives an ASIO error (again not trying to use ASIO for this file), then gives a last error and then SCS crashes or closes.Re: SCS cannot find audio devices
