[Fix 11.9.7] Bug Report for SCS 11.9.6

I've discovered a queuing bug in SCS 11.9.6.

I don't know how long it's existed, but I've just encountered it, since we've just started using 'Cue Markers' CMs.

I email a sample show for you to do testing on.

Description of Sample Show: Queuing Error

SCS v. 11.9.6

• Que 1 Starts Sound 1.
• Que 1 also has a Sub-que to adjust the volume at a "Cue Marker" (CM).
• Que 2 Stops Sound 1 and Starts Sound 2
• Ques 3 thru 6 are just present to complete the demo.

Here's the bug:

• Start playing Cue 1
• Activate Cue 2 BEFORE Cue 1 reaches the "Cue Marker" (CM)

Sound 1 Stops and Sound 2 Starts, BUT SCS sets the 'Next Manual Cue' BACK to Cue 1.

• When you press 'Space' to activate Cue 3, Cue 3 Does activate, BUT Que 1 starts playing AGAIN!

NOTE: If you allow Cue 1 to play to the CM, the problem does not occur.

Thanks for the email you sent, Dave. I've replied with a version that fixes the error.

The error was that Q2's SFR 'stop all earlier cues' didn't complete the level change sub-cue Q1<2> because it had not yet started. In the version I've emailed you the link for, this type of SFR cue will now 'complete' all sub-cues of earlier cues.

Yay, SFR "Stop ALL previous" is fixed when there are sub-cues.

However, if you change "Stop ALL" to stop a "SPECIFIC" sound file, it needs to be fixed there too.

Instructions in an e-mail back to you.

I'm grateful for the quick fix for "All."

We have a production that kept restarting music, and our new sound person thought it was her fault. I told her, "nope," just a small bug we can work around for now.

Dave,

As I've emailed you, the change I made is correct for both SFR types. The problem you encountered regarding stopping a "SPECIFIC" sound file is that your SFR cue was now referring to a specific sub-cue of Q1, not to the whole cue. So the second sub-cue of Q1 was excluded from the specified action. If you change the action to point to the cue Q1 then the SFR works as you want it to.
