[Fix 11.8.2.2] Yet another Invalid memory address error

Post by MizeSoundGuy » Wed Dec 04, 2019 5:53 pm

This might not be a bug report because it might be a mis-configuration error, one never knows about such things.
This is the error message:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1CIzICD ... dbQ-8/view
As per usual, I had this happen twice at times during final dress where I could not take the time to take a screenshot (meaning maybe it was a different error). The third (and final time tonight) it happened, I had a chance to grab a screenshot. The log file is here: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1hf7RN ... MNypL0rfSb
The problem seems to occur pause or stop a running cue. The problem is not reproducible under the circumstances in which I was working at the time. After that error, there was much editing and stopping/starting of the cue sequence without the error occurring again.
Our show previews on Thursday so no editing will happen (hopefully) tomorrow at final dress because we were tweaking until past midnight tonight.
The show has a couple of individual slide video projections as well as a couple of "slide shows". Pretty much everything happens with sound cues playing. If there is anything else I can provide, let me know.

Thanks!

That's strange. The error occurred when SCS was trying to populate the 'number of loops' for an Audio File Cue (in the editor). This was probably for Q31.5. Were you setting or adjusting loop info for this cue? I've emailed you details of a version that checks for the condition that caused the error, but I understand that you might not want to try anything new this close to preview.

Ah ha! The setting the loop counter thing correlates to what I was doing pretty well. I don't think I was quite understanding how the new loop settings worked and that may have provoked the error, perhaps not at that instant, but shortly thereafter. I will check my file and see how that one loop is set.

Thanks!
