[Fix 11.5.2.4] Problem with short fades in 11.5.2.3

Hi Mike,

I often use very short fade times, e.g. 0.1s, to prevent audible clicks when I need an audio cue to stop suddenly.

Beginning with 11.5.2.3, these short fades seem to misbehave... the sound fades to about 30 or 40% very quickly, then the fade pauses with the sound audible at that level for about half a second before suddenly jumping to zero.

This pause in the fade can be seen on the fader in the cue panel as well as being heard.

The problem happens with both SFR fadeouts and with regular fadeouts specified in the audio cue.

I tried this on 2 different computers, one with ASIO and the other with DirectSound.

I reverted to 11.5.2.2 and it works OK.

Diagnostic file attached.

Thanks,
Tim.

Sorry about that error. It was caused by a fix applied in 11.5.2.3 regarding cross-faded loops. The 'fix' should only have been applied to cues with cross-faded loops. I've emailed you details of a version that corrects this.

Hi.
I have got a simular problem as Tim in 11.7.1.3.
Very short "Fade out and stop Audio File" (0.05-0.1sec), sometimes the cue doesn't fade and stops with a delay of about one second.
Is there a fix?
Thanks.
Jan

Jan, a log file will have been created and saved in a folder named "SCS Logs" under "Documents", and the name of the file includes a time-stamp indicating when the log started. Please email a relevant log file to support@showcuesystems.com, and tell me which cue(s) this problem occured on.
