[Resolved] Video screens switched

Post by genel » Sun May 15, 2016 11:33 am

I've run video displays in the past with no problem. I've upgraded to Win 10, and SCS 11.4.2.3 on a Lenova Laptop and now have an issue.
With the video projector connected to laptop, screen 1 is windows desktop and should be scs cue list. Screen 2 should be display. Except that as soon as SCS starts up it sets the cue list and the windows desk top to display 2 and sends the video to display 1. Exiting SCS switches Windows desktop back to display 1.
The options screen displays that it knows about both displays, but allows no changes. It does show the cue list is set for screen 2. Which is consistant with what it's doing. I was able to get things working by changing the windows main display to screen 2 which is a little inconvenient, but when I start SCS it switches the windows desktop back to screen 1 along with the cue list, and displays video on screen 2. Of course as soon as SCS is stopped windows goes back to screen 2, and screen 1, the laptop display, goes blank.

This is very inconvenient and I'm sure all I need to do is switch the cue list display on the option page, but no can do. Yes, I've tried changing every other option on the option page but it won't let me change the cue list display setting.

Thanks for any help,

That's strange. I can't see how SCS could convince Windows to move the desktop to the second display. Could you email me a diagnostic file? You can create this file by selecting 'Create Diagnostic File' from the drop-down menu displayed when you click the Help button in the main window. The file will be saved in a folder named "SCS Diagnostics" under "Documents" or "My Documents".
