Memo Cue Display Box Sizing

Post by Kirk » Tue Mar 17, 2015 6:17 am

When I create a memo sub-cue and re-size the display box to be a long rectangle, using a large font size, the resulting box when running the cue is incorrect.
The box is created at the correct size, but the text display area only uses a portion of the box. See attachments.

I found that I can work around this issue by unchecking the "Auto-resize fonts on target display" check box in the editor.
Another issue I ran into when playing around with resizing the box when clicking the "Preview" button:

When re-sizing the window using the resize handle, the border will disapper and reappear depending on the size of the box. If I leave the box without a border, there is no "X" control appearing in the upper-right corner. Without this control, it is impossible to close the window, and consequently impossible to close the editor, and impssible to exit SCS. When this happens, the only recourse is to use Task Manager to kill the editor, re-start the editor, and then delete the problem cue.

I've emailed you details of a tracing version I'd like you to run regarding the first issue.

That's strange. When I resize the preview window here I never lose the border. I'll run some more tests.
