11.3.4 scsdb file question.
11.3.4 scsdb file question.
Been using SCS since April. When I close the program it can take a very long time to write the scsdb file. I've found I can delete it, and then it restarts at a small size of just a couple of k, but a few days later it will be growing to a gigbyte and take minutes to close. I was hoping that 11.3.4 would fix this, but I just deleted a 750mb file. I've just downloaded 11.3.5 in hopes this "feature" has been fixed.

Re: 11.3.4 scsdb file question.
The excessive size of the database (the .scsdb file) was an issue with SCS 11.3.2 and this was corrected in 11.3.3. However, 11.3.3 would only rebuild the database if it needed to, such as if you added a new audio file cue. So large database files created by 11.3.2 could still be around even after using 11.3.3.
In 11.3.4 a test was added to always rebuild the database if it was created by 11.3.2 - provided you 'save' your 11.3.4 cue file.
Note that it is always safe to remove .scsdb files, so if you have some large .scsdb files in your system, just delete them. The files only exist to optimize performance in the SCS Editor.
