[Resolved] 11.3.0 - Video issue: hibernate/resume with fades

Post by Bruce Asher » Mon Oct 27, 2014 11:45 pm

Hi all; Mike, as always, thanks for the fantastic software!

I've got one .mp4 file (h264 encoded, about 6mb, 720x576) that I'd like to fade out and hibernate, and then resume whilst fading in again. Oddly, solely throughout the duration of the SFR cue (fading out/in), the aspect ratio of the video changes from the usual 'fullscreen' to a smaller one (looks like the aspect ratio of the video, 720x576), positioned top-left of the screen. On end of fade time on e.g. resume/fade-in, it pops back to 'fullscreen'.

Have tried with both normal and time override fades, etc. Pause/resume without any fades works fine. This may well be a file issue, as I'm almost positive I've had the hibernate/resume work with fades before in this release, but can't replicate it working for the life of me (also switching to DirectShow gives a render error). Not a superuser, so apologies if the fix is obvious!

All the best,
B

I've run your cues here using one of my mp4 files in place of yours, and fades on the SFR's work perfectly. It may be a codec issue, so could you try converting the file to wmv?

Was indeed a codec issue; ffmpeg'd to .wmv and it works perfectly.
Thanks Mike!
