Blank Screen

Post by WildBunch » Wed Jun 25, 2014 11:50 am

Running Windows 8.1 on a Sager Laptop. 1080 Projector on HDMI port. SCS 11.2.6. Sound cues work well. When I add in a still image, all screen s go dark. I an alt-tab to the application, but it doesn't show. I can alt-tab to other applications. I have to kill the SCS process and start it again to see it again.

It is doing really wierd stuff to my displays.

Very strange that all screens go dark. Could you email me a diagnostic dump file? You can create this file by starting SCS and selecting 'Create Diagnostic Dump File' from the drop-down menu displayed when you click the Help button in the main window. The file will be saved in a folder named "SCS Dumps" under "Documents" or "My Documents".

It is going to be difficult to perform the actions requested.

The application clears all screens, and becomes invisible. Only when I press alt-f4 does it become momentarily visible before it exits. Is there a registry setting or a special build to do the log thing automatically?

Main screen is my laptop. Screen 2 is a little displayport screen. Screen 3 is a hdmi screen.

The displayport screen is one of these: http://www.adafruit.com/products/1652

When I disconnect the displayport screen, things work as expected.

Main screen is my laptop. Screen 2 is hdmi projector. This works.

The key information is how the displays are set up in Windows. With your displayport unit connected but without SCS started, right-click on your Windows desktop and select 'Screen Resolution'. What settings do you have for each display? A screenshot of this 'Screen Resolution' window would also be helpful.
