[Fix 11.7.1] 11.7.0 - 18 sec to save editor changes

Post by circus » Thu May 24, 2018 1:59 pm

I created a 62 cue show in version 11.6.1, then updated to 11.7.0.
Whenever I click Save in the Editor window it is taking 18 seconds to save before I can get the window closed.
And it locks me out of the main window during that wait.

If I just make some level changes in the main window, then Save Settings, those get saved instantly as usual.

Should I try creating a brand new show from scratch in 11.7.0 and copy in all the Cues?
Or, is it unrelated to the cue file and just caused by the Editor window?

I hope that a mod I have ready for 11.7.1 will fix this. I've emailed you details of a tracing version of this 11.7.1 pre-release.

I have noticed this too, although I haven't actually timed it, with a new show of similar size created in 11.7.0 (but with a template created in an earlier version). I assumed it was something to do with my set-up. Sometimes the Editor screen blanks out and sometimes I get a (not responding) if I am too impatient to close SCS.

Same here. I have had this happen for awhile now. I have found that it is a change to a file that already has an audio graph saved then the SAVE response is almost immediate. But if it is a change where a new audio graph has to be generated then it exhibits the same behavior described by others in the above posts.

I guessed it's audio graphs too. I often have to save twice, because the asterisk is still there after the first save.
