Crash when dropping several different-type files in Editor

Post by La Gira Producciones » Thu Aug 24, 2017 6:21 am

Hi,

I recently purchased a Standard license and attempted to drop 40 something files of either .mov or .wav (44.100 / 16bit) extension and the program crashed. Is there something I should know (e.g. "it takes the software great effort to show the preview of each file before loading the next one. You should load the one by one", or the like?) when loading multiple files?

Thanks!

PS: I just tried loading a few of the same type at a time (say no more than 8), with the same result. SCS is running on a Dell Inspiron 7559 (Intel Core i7, 8Gb RAM, nVidia GeForce GTX 960M with 4Gb dedicated RAM)

Works OK here, so I've emailed you details of a tracing version to run.

I tried what you say and it works.
But after the third file the screen stops updating and SCS seems to be hanged, but not, it creates all cues.
You should wait for a while.

If a crash window appears, may be there is a problem with specific file.

Lluís

[Edit1] do not work.
If I select multiple file types (mp4, mov, wav, mp3, jpg), SCS detects there are diferent file types and asks what to do with each group, creates all cues, but some cues are created with a wrong file type. ie, a wav file into a video cue.

Fix ready for SCS 11.7.0.
