We've run a configuration using Windows 10 and SCS 11.5.2.2 for 4 2hr shows quite successfully. However during the last one we had a spurious message displayed on the video output screen (screen 2) as a single white line with text, during a time when SCS was idle with no sound or video output running, waiting for the next manual cue.
The show was being video recorded so we have a still jpeg of the message. Attached.
I'd upload the diagnostic file but it wont let me upload a file with the scsz extension!.

That's odd - and I can't think how SCS could have displayed that. Could you email me the diagnostic file and tell me how far through the cue list you were when that happened?

Re: Spurious messages on video output screen
It seems this spurious message was an SCS Editor 'tooltip' as SCS may display such a tooltip if the filename is too long for the available field. However, the tooltip should have been confined to the boundaries of the Editor window so I can't see how it would have been displayed on a video screen. The physical displaying of a tooltip is controlled by Windows - all SCS does is set the text (if any) to be displayed in a field's tooltip.
Displaying tooltips is controlled by the Display Option 'Show Tooltips'. By default, this option is selected in Design Mode but cleared in Performance Mode, ie by default tooltips will not be displayed in Performance Mode. However, this Display Option setting was not being checked for the filename tooltip, so for the next release I've extended the checking of the Display Option to cover all tooltips.

Re: Spurious messages on video output screen
In SCS 11.5.2.4 the option to hide tooltips has been extended to all tooltips, including those generated when a filename or other field is wider than the display width of the field. So this problem should be fixed in 11.5.2.4 provided the 'Show Tooltips' option checkbox is blank.
