[Fix 11.5.0] Time Based Cues

Post by squuk » Tue Apr 19, 2016 6:43 pm

Hi,

I've been using SCS for several years for productions in our school theatre and we are about to start using SCS to run our school bell which is played over a speaker system around the site. This requires time based cues, one profile for normal days, a different profile for Tuesday as the school day timings are different and a weekend profile with no cues.

I've setup the production properties and cues. I'm testing the project and the days seem to be switching over at midnight and the right cues played at the right times, however cosmetically the title bar doesn't update the name of the active profile and if there are any cues ignored on a particular profile they aren't added/removed from the cue list (but are from the cue description bottom part of the window). If I open the editor and make any random change to the project the title bar and cue list do then immediately update themselves and show the correct items for the day.

As far as I can tell the above issues are purely cosmetic and the production looks as though it is going to work, but it is confusing!

Thanks,
Matt

Hi,

Further to this I have created a very basic project with just two note cues to demonstrate the behaviour I am seeing. This is in version 11.4.2.3.

Thanks,
Matt

Thanks for the sample project file, Matt. Fix now ready for the next release (11.5). I've also added a new Display Option to allow the monitor (screen) to timeout and turn off. This is useful if SCS is being used unattended for lengthy periods, such as all-day or 24/7.

Hi Mike,

Thanks very much for this, it'll be a big help. Do you have an ETA on v11.5?

Matt

Not sure - there's still quite a bit of work in progress on 11.5. However, I can provide a pre-release that includes the bug fix and that will enable you to use the new option to allow the screen to timeout. Let me know if you'd like this pre-release.
