Videoplayback v 11.4.

Post by smacks999 » Wed Aug 05, 2015 11:10 am

Just downloaded the newest version 11.4. Video playback is not possible for some reason on my machine using TVG. I have dual ATI Firepro 4800 (Fire GL) cards. I am sure it is only my configuration that is doing this. Playback worked fine in all previous versions, and if I switch to a different playback engine. A diagnostic file is being sent separately.

Video playback neither shows up in the preview window nor on the display (projector). The playback view shows "playing" but the time indicator is not moving at all. Playing the windows 7 "Wildlife.wmv", or even a simple jpg or png.

If I hit Stop or esc, then try again by hitting "GO", it says it's playing, but no picture.

Video capture file would not upload.

Are you using the last video controler driver?
Windows media player plays your videos?
Is a multihead graphics controler, the main display should be the display 1 where the scs runs. I've reported an issue that makes video playback to fail if scs is not running in the display 1

May something of this help?

Same issue here and I get an invalid memory error with XVideo. Can't seem to figure out what the issue is.

Is this the same error you reported under Invalid Memory Access Error? Do you only get the memory error described there if you include a video to be played by xVideo?

I am still having trouble using TVG and my ATI Firepro V4800 )(Fire GL) video cards. All looks good, I can preview the video on the proper monitor in the editor side, but when it comes to playback, the screen is black, but audio plays. I have tried both MP4 and AVI files, as well as wmv. no difference. ANy ideas?

Yes, the drivers are the latest for the card, and I uninstalled and reinstalled them, then the program, to no avail. It just won't work.
We use two cards, total 6 outputs, but I'm only using 3- two for desktop and one for projector. For the projection output, it's DP to DVI, DVI into a DVI powered splitter, and one side runs to the projector and the other to a booth monitor mirroring the projector output (screen 3).

Any ideas from the community would be welcome!

Have you tried changing the video renderer to VMR7? See Options and Settings - Video Driver Settings for more info.
