Hello,
I am having a large issue where a cue is playing and randomly stops and becomes garbled. I am using a Win7 i7 machine with 16 gigs of RAM with a Focusrite Scarlett 18i8 audio interface. I have the most up-to-date drivers.
I have attached the latest diagnostic file.
I used a similar setup in a previous show with little to no issue. I have a work around without the audio interface, if needed, but I go into tech tomorrow and any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Stephen

Re: Suddenly Sound Stops and Garbles
Have you tried increasing the ASIO buffer size in the Focusrite driver? This is not a setting that SCS can control, but some ASIO drivers seem to have very low buffer sizes so they can claim a very low latency. But this can adversely affect overall performance as the program (eg SCS) tries to keep the audio buffer populated.
Does the Focusrite have a WDM/DirectSound driver? If so then using that should provide stable playback, assuming you use the default SCS playback buffer settings.
I'll also email you details of a tracing version to run.
