SCS 11.2.5 - Frozen

Post by LCOLLINS1989 » Wed Jan 08, 2014 1:16 am

Hello there,

I have been successfully using SCS 11.2.5 however earlier today the programme crashed whilst I had the help menu open.

Upon restarting I cannot access any of the menus or click on anything in the cues list. I have tried restarting my computer and also reinstalling SCS

What is odd, is that if I hit the spacebar the cues play as normal, I just can't select them or access anything within the programme.

Thanks

Lewis

Ok, after further playing I think I've solved this.

I removed the saved file it automatically loads so that a new file was opened. I then adjusted the video driver settings back to the default and all is working perfectly. I've rebuilt the file I moved that appeared to be corrupted just in case.

Apologies

Glad you've solved it.

My suggestion was going to be that your cue file had become corrupted. You can start SCS without the most recent file, by holding down the left shift key whilst clicking the program icon. In the Special Start window that appears select 'Do NOT open most recent file'. SCS starts on a blank cue file. You might have saved yourself some of the rebuild by renaming the .bak file that SCS creates with a new name and .scs11 extension.

Great tips, thanks Malcolm!

Luckily it was a fairly simple cue list as I was still playing around learning all the features.

Thanks again
