Capturing audio

On 2 different shows within a year, I have been capturing audio from a mic on stage, or a mic among the audience, using a Boss Loop Station, and played it back right away after recording.
I would be thrilled if this kind of cue could be made possible in SCS in a near future.
For example - you could make a recording cue using live input through SM-server and a toggle hotkey to record and stop recording, and another hotkey to play back the recording. Then I can decide when to playback the recording.
I know that this is possible in Abelton Live.
