I am trying to put a monitor on stage and send video/image cues to it from booth... wifi is available and old laptop is available
Any suggestions... community theatre... so no real budget, so as cheap as you can suggest
I have Professional Plus... so was thinking of putting an old laptop at monitor and using "run external program cue"? and just running something like media player?
Wireless monitor
Re: Wireless monitor
Hi Sid,
A wireless monitor or projector do not seems a good idea due to a noticiable delay.
I think the best way could be to install another SCS as slave computer with a hdmi/vga connection to the monitor. This slave computer should have an audio connection to ensure the perfect synchronization between video and audio while playing. This slave computer can use wifi to receive commands from the SCS master.
Hope this helps,
Lluís

Re: Wireless monitor
Thanks will try that... didn't realize SCS could run under Slave
No audio, so no worries of a synch problem

Re: Wireless monitor
You can set a second computer as slave and add cues into master computer to control slave computer.
There is a lot of information in the help file.

Re: Wireless monitor
Hi to all,
I'm running a similar setup as follows:
On main and slave computer have rtpMIDI and SCS (of course
) installed. RtpMIDI asks for installing Apple Bonjour, install this, too, and remove Apple Print Service and the Apple Software updater, You won't need it.
RtpMIDI allows You to send MIDI commands via network (wireless no problem). It establishes an additional MIDI driver, absolutely transparent for SCS. Setup the master computer for sending MSC and the slave computer with cue control via MSC.
Have fun
Jörg
