[Mod 11.2.1] MIDI Time Code interim work-around

Russell Hartwig provided the following information regarding his use of SCS for a carol concert that he runs each year. Russell has approved this for publication.
My setup for this year, seeing Midi Time Code isn't available in SCS yet.
I have a desktop computer setup in a road case with a multi in/out sound interface which I normally use as my recording rig, as well as a mixer for rehearsals. I have installed SCS on this machine, link it to the sound software Reaper through a software midi interface called loopMidi. In Reaper I have a series of Midi Time-code Generators set up with markers at the start of each. As SCS starts each video file it sends a control change code to Reaper to tell it which time-code file to play. I am also using Reaper to mix in a couple of vocal mics for the backing choir.
Reaper is then linked via network to my laptop which has the DMX lighting software on it via another software midi interface called rtpMidi. The lighting software reads the time-code sent from Reaper and activates the lights as programmed.
It would be nice to be able to take the middle man (Reaper) out of the mix, but even so, it seemed to be next to no latency on the time-code signal and was all in sync.
