Using VST plugins with SCS

If you'd like to have the possibility to add EQ (or reverb or any other audio processing) to SCS, consider using Reaper (http://www.cockos.com/reaper/) as a VST plugin host.
Install Reaper with "Reroute ASIO driver" checked.
Open Reaper first, then SCS. In the "Production Properties" window, "ReaRoute ASIO" will appear in the "Physical Device" list and multiple outputs and output pairs will appear in the "Speakers/Outputs " list. (Actually 16 mono and 8 stereo pairs.)
You can set up SCS Pro for 8 pairs of stereo sends to Reaper, then send the Reaper outputs (after processing) to your audio hardware outputs.
See attached screenshot (#1)
In Reaper, set up 8 stereo tracks; choosing "ReaRoute 1/2" as input for Track 1, "ReaRoute 3/4" as input for Track 2, ... etc.
Setup "Audio Hardware Outputs" for each track to suit your needs and available hardware.
Select "Input Monitor" to route each audio track to your Audio Hardware Ouptuts.
Click on the FX button on each track to insert a "ReaQ" or other VST plugin.
In the screenshot (#2) attached, I've set Tracks 1-4 with EQ and 5-7 with reverb.
Odd tracks are routed to my hardware outputs 1 and 2 and even tracks to hardware outputs 3 and 4.
It's important to remember to launch Reaper before SCS for the "ReRoute ASIO" to appear.
