Video Control

Post by PhilVale » Wed Apr 25, 2018 7:29 pm

My first proper foray into Video.

Is there any facilities for pausing and resuming video playback?

I have a 90 minute video which runs through the show as a backdrop. We're not using curtains so I want the starting point projected as the audience come in then as I hit play for the opening music I want the video to start playing through.

Then I want to be able to pause it at the interval and then resume at the start of Act II.

I know I can do this via the control under the cue but it would be good to have this automated against the sound cues if possible.

You can Pause and Resume videos, using SFR Cues (in Editor/Cue/Add 'SFR'cue)

TO CREATE PAUSE CUE
in Editor/Cue/Add 'SFR'cue
In 'Action required' Choose 'PAUSE'
In Cue or Sub Cue to be actioned, Choose your movie, or 'All playing video/image cues'

TO CREATE RESUME CUE
in Editor/Cue/Add 'SFR'cue
In 'Action required' Choose 'RESUME'
In Cue or Sub Cue to be actioned, Choose your movie, or 'All playing video/image cues'

(*) TIP :
You can activate these cues as Hotkeys, i.e 'P'= Pause, 'R'=Resume
So, any video will be paused by pressing 'P' and released by pressing 'R'
