That's not quite true. I can get video to appear on my second monitor when I use the 2nd screen option in the editor. When I go to the main screen and run the video, I get the audio, but no image. On many attempts I get the following error message: Error -2147418113, catastrophic failure, procname play video, pAudPtr=17. The program has also crashed several times bringing up the Windows "encountered a problem" screen.
I am using .avi format. The video runs fine in Windows Media Player. It runs fine in preview mode on both the editor screen and the 2nd screen. Just not on the 2nd screen from the cue list. The video is saved to the production folder. I have the second screen set as an extension of my desktop. The screen does go black when SCS loads, which I assume is correct.
My machine is a 3.2 P4, 1gb ram, Windows XP with SP 2. Video card is a Radion with 128 mb. Windows Media Player 11. I have tried re-installing SCS. I have closed virus scan and firewall. I have defragged. I'm out of ideas. Anyone?
I really want the video side to work. I love the audio side. Thanks in advance.
No video output on 2nd screen (fix in 10.1.3)

Re: No video output on 2nd screen
Seems strange that you get the audio even though the crash occurs causing the image to fail.
Could you email me your cue file (the .scs file)?

Re: No video output on 2nd screen
I have found that displaying the video to the second screen doesn't display correctly if the second screen is setup as an extension of the desktop to the left instead of to the right. A fix is now ready for 10.1.3.

Re: No video output on 2nd screen
The second screen issue is fixed in 10.1.3, but let me know if you still get the Error -2147418113 problem.
