Version 10.1.0 not loading

Post by AndyT » Tue Aug 05, 2008 11:59 pm

Hi Mike

When starting v10 I get the following error message
__________________
Error Unknown error
SCS 10.1.0
ProcName = createOneMixerStream
BASS_Mixer_StreamCreate failed for FOH
___________________

If I continue, then for every cue I get an error message - Subscript out of range, Proname = OpenMediaFIle (which loops through all the queues, then returns to Q1 again)

I installed V10 with default settings, which left my existing version 9.5.1 still installed (and working)
Any idea for a solution?

UPDATE
I have found the cause of this problem - helped by holding CTRL key when v10 loaded
In my 9.5 SCS files I have the following <PRPhysicalDev0>Playback through TotalRecorder (emulated)</PRPhysicalDev0> which if removed enables the SCS to load and play correctly.

Andy,

After you removed the TotalRecorder line and the program started OK, did you subsequently assign an output to the TotalRecorder device OK? I don't know anything about TotalRecorder, but from a quick look at their web site it looks like some kind of audio driver, and possibly it's incompatible with the audio library used by SCS 10.

Mike

NO, if I try to assign a physical device back to TotalRecorded I get the same error message. I'm not too troubled by this, as I only use TotalRecorder on my home pc, it enables the capture of any sounds passing through the soundcard. It is not installed on our theatre system, but I thought the info might be useful for others using the same software.

Thanks again
