Cutting and pasting

Post by chawkey » Fri Feb 03, 2006 3:52 pm

Hi, I just recently fell into money for my high school theatre, and bought a laptop, SCS, and the M-audio 410. So far, I love everything.

I have one question, and maybe this is for the requests board if I can't do it. We change the order of our One-Act plays that follow our mainstage production each night (not all go each night). My sound op wants to be able to copy and paste an entire show to make reordering the individual One acts each night easier - there are transition cues between the one acts.

As it is, we are left with copying a single cue, opening a "Thursday night show" and pasting in each individually. Then we have to save, close, reopen the single one act, and repeat. Any suggestions welcome

thanks a bunch!

I believe that Mike is thinking about this or something along the same lines. Have a look at this thread and this thread.

You may have to wait for a solution.

Yes, Malcolm summed it up perfectly! I am currently testing the drag-and-drop facilities in SCS 9 which will go some way to assisting the changes you want to make, but grouping of cues and copying between cue files will come a bit later.
