Yes, the Apple Mac version is being developed right now. Can't put a release date on it yet, or even a beta release date, but this port is what I'm spending most of my time on. The Mac version will be Universal Binary.

I for one would love to sign up for the testing of the OS X version when it is ready. I can't wait. Just hearing this makes me giddy.

OS X version?

Yeah, I would be interested in testing also. I just ordered a top of the line Mac mini for potential show use. This will be a new experience since I have been Pc for nearly 20 years.

Mike -

'wondered how development on porting SCS to OS X was going...(loving SCS 935-btw) 'wanted to ask if the OSX version will only work on Intel Macs or will also work on the older G4 PPC?

thanks again for the continued hard work -

SCS on OS X (and/or on IntelMacs)

Post by MaikW » Fri Mar 30, 2007 6:22 am

So there are some users, who have experiences in using SCS on IntelMacs?

Could some of you please consider to check on the "Strange Keyboard-problem on Intel-Macs", I posted in my first message in the http://www.soundcuesystem.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=637 thread?

Seems, the problem is limited on longer files (more then 20 minutes).

Any comments?
Regards...
...Maik

Slowly. This is proving to be a big job, mainly due to the necessary change of development platform.

As SCS 10 is still a way off I've decided to spend some time developing 9.4, which will include several new features that users have been requesting. The recent 9.3.x releases have primarily been maintenance releases, but it's time for some new functionality. I will still be working on SCS 10, and all of the new functionality for 9.4 will simultaneously be coded into SCS 10.

I'm fairly new to the Apple world and cannot say for certain, and I don't have a G4. SCS 10 for Apple will be released as a 'universal binary', so does that mean it will/should run on the G4 PPC?
