Anybody had any luck sending messages to an ETC lighting desk?
We've had some success - SO most of the time we can send the OSC messages over ethernet and they are rec eived and displayed by the lighting desk. But they doesn seem to get acted upon.
So I was using similar to the following:
/cs/playback/go
Is there anything obvious I am likely to be missing?

Phil, please email us the SCS log file from a run in which you sent this message. Email the file to support@showcuesystems.com.
Re: OSC to ETC lighting desk
Hi, probably too late already, but we have successfully been controlling our ETC ColorSource 20 AV from SCS. Our Setup:
Colorsource + PC connected to some run-of-the-mill Wifi Router (I think it´s a Linksys AC1000)
Colorsource + PC on static IPs (didn´t want to use the Router´s DHCP; in case of failure can quickly replace it with a simple switch)
OSC Command: /cs/playback/gotocue/2
We use the "gotocue" command rather than "go", this way if we jump around in the SCS cues during rehearsals, the Light desk will follow correctly. Needs a bit more typing during programming though.
This has been working for us for 2 years now, can´t remember any hiccups. The comms being UDP, I could imagine you run into problems if packets get lost (ADAIK, no ACK / retransmission mechanisms exist on UDP), seems not to be a problem for us - since everything is connected to the same switch, packet loss is quite improbable i guess; but I could imagine this being an issue when running over some central switch, or over wifi.
I hope this helps; if you need more info just contact me!

PS: on a different production, I used the same setup to control a ETC Ion Desk, also without any problems

Re: OSC to ETC lighting desk
Thanks Didi,
Yes unfortunatly it is a bit late as we only had limited time. But it is also interesting that you used /cs/...... that's what we used but it never worked despiute the desk showing it actually received it. We eventually put it down maybe we should have sent /EOS/.......
But at the same time I can't remeber exactly what we did send now.
I'll keep what you say in mind though for next time.
Thanks.
Phil.

Re: OSC to ETC lighting desk
We used this:
/eos/cue/1/1/fire
With this ETC Desk:
/eos/cue/1/1/fire
