Linking the audio progress slider and MTC

Under MTC (MIDI Time Code) Cues and LTC (Linear Time Code) Cues, the documentation says, "Also, if you drag the progress slider on the Audio File sub-cue, then the MTC will be adjusted accordingly."

Does this work? Are there any tricks to making it work?

See the example below.

the MTC sub-cue is shown as linked to the audio file sub-cue, and whilst playing the cue I clicked on the progress slider. MTC immediately adjusted to match the new position.

Thanks for your reply, Mike. I worked out that the problem in my show was that I set a Rel. Start Time of 4 seconds on the audio track to match the 4 seconds of pre-roll on the MTC track. When I removed the Rel. Start Time, the two tracks did become linked.

I suppose I could use a DAW to add 4 seconds of silent audio to the beginning of the audio track. Is there any other way I could synchronize the two tracks while retaining a short delay at the start? I need to give my lighting console a chance to sync up with the MTC signal before the song begins.

Is it a bug that the setting of a Rel. Start Time de-synchronizes the audio track and the MTC track?

Not really a bug but a scenario I hadn't considered. I'll look into supporting this shortly.
