Audio Limitation or bug?

Running a 6 channel uncompressed .wav cue for 5.1 output works flawlessly in my project, but adding a video file with the same embedded audio fails to output the correct channels. What I actually hear is Left front, Right Front, Center - all in the right place and then nothing at all from the rear R rear L or the LFE.

It's possible that SCS can't handle 5.1 video files, I've tried AVI, MOV, mp4 AAC among others. but odd SCS gets the first three channels in the right place and right order!

Also when playing a wav 6 channel audio cue, I'm seeing 6 channels on the UI but only channels 1 and 2 show any activity - could be me missing something in the UI. - not an issue really as external monitoring takes care of this, just wondering.

thanks

Paul :-)

Clearly no one uses 5.1 -

However I still have the question, should it work or should it not? It is a video file with 5.1 audio.

Theoretically with the LAV filters the video decoder library should support 5.1 you could try downloading the latest filters from https://github.com/Nevcairiel/LAVFilters/releases

It's an 'audio limitation' for video files. SCS would need some modification to support more then a stereo audio stream.
