Sync audio (2 tracks) and video ?

Hi

I am looking how to sync on stage :
- a master track (audio)
- a click track (audio)
- a video in HD (video) on a projector through HDMI

I already have :
- a laptop PC with i7, 32Gb RAM and a nvidia quadro m200m 4Gb
- a behringer umc1820 sound card with ASIO driver
- an Optoma HD141X Projector (but the setup must work with any venue projector)

I am just starting to read the docs, and I would like to know if SCS can do that.

The documentation (at the bottom of this page : https://showcuesystems.com/scs11help/in ... ontext=360 ) contains :
please note that the video file syncing will not be as accurate as audio file syncing. In particular, if you have an audio file sub-cue that supplies the audio for a video file, then SCS cannot guarantee 'lip sync' accuracy.
What does it mean practically ? Is it doable with a good setup ? Or will the video be out of sync whatever I do ?

Thanks for any advice.

The syncing issue is due to the fact that video files and audio files are played using different libraries. So it depends just how accurate you need syncing to be, which is why 'lip sync' accuracy cannot be guaranteed. However, if a video file just to provide supporting imagery then the syncing should be OK.

Thanks for your answer !

I understand the technical issue, but even if sync is "not guaranteed", I would have been interested to know if people use SCS in this way and succeeded ! It was mainly to save time, I guess I will have to try it myself with the demo version ! When I will have time I will give it a try.
