Sound cues hanging

Twice in the last week, i started a cue and within a second or two it hung making a noise a bit like a stuck record. The playback cursor stopped as well. On both occasions, a quick 'Esc' (twice) stopped it and I could immediately restart the cue.
I've been using SCS for over a decade and never seen this before.

Note that this happened twice and that after the first time I updated my X32 firmware and the X32 usb drivers in case that was related. As it happened again, I think that is ruled out. It was NOT the same cue each time.

Anyone ever seen anything like this?

(Latest version of SCS running on W7.)
Thanks

That used to be an issue a long time ago, but I haven't come across that in recent versions of SCS. It was related to ASIO buffering, but that problem was fixed quite some time ago.

A log file will have been created and saved in a folder named "SCS Logs" under "Documents", and the name of the file includes a time-stamp indicating when the log started. Please email me a relevant log file.

How many output channels are you using? If you only need 2 then you may be able to use DirectSound instead of ASIO. I don't currently have easy access to an X32 so can't try this out.

Thanks Mike. I'm on holiday (1st for 18 months!) at the moment but will look when I get back.
I do need more than 2 channels though. We usually use 8.
