USB - reconnect?

Post by fantasmo » Sun Oct 04, 2020 7:43 pm

Hi.
Is there a way to automatic reconnect an USB connection, if it's unplugged for a short time? (like an USB-MIDI-Controller or audio-interface)

Thanks.

Unfortunately I can't find any 'event type' raised by the underlying software that would notify SCS of a USB disconnection or reconnection.

If SCS can recognise that a device is was connected to has gone away, could it periodically attempt to re-connect to it?

I'll look into it, but I'm concerned about the processing overhead of regularly monitoring device connections.

I don't think you need to poll at a very high rate - 5 seconds or so? Perhaps the ability to pop up a message if the device goes away? A hot key to re-connect? just thinking out loud,
