Dot vs. comma in Control send cues

Post by allcomp » Wed Aug 14, 2019 4:34 pm

Just now, I am doing a show, where I am sending Control send cues (Midi Show Control) to Lightfactory. But I cannot write in comma´s in cue number in SCS, which means I cannot control e.g. cue number 11,5 in Lightfactory, because Lightfactory wont allow dot´s in cues. Only comma´s. How to fix this?

Regards,

Brian

According to the MSC Spec v 1.0, only digits and decimal points are permitted in MSC cue numbers, as shown here:
Q_number, Q_list and Q_path are expressed as ASCII numbers 0-9 (encoded as 30H-39H) with the ASCII decimal point character (2EH) used to delineate subsections. In the example above, cue 235.6 list 36.6 path 59 would be represented by ...
However, if LightFactory allows the use of commas in cue numbers then I can easily add ',' to the list of accepted characters.

That would be very nice, if you could add comma to the list. It's a bit wierd, that I can' t use a dot in LF. Maybe because it's in use on a european computer. We use comma and dot differently with numbers.
