Hi guys. I have made a cheap handheld midi "go" button using the following.
Beat Bars Footswitch adapter > https://beatbars.com/en/footswitch-to-midi.html
Took the guts out, bit of poly pipe and a momentary push switch.
All going good and seems to test ok with midi message test software but i cannot get this to work in SCS
Midi messages are b1 28 7f and b1 28 00 from pushing the switch and releasing again.
the controller software is set to midi channel 1 and controller number 40 . Off > 0 and On > 127 Midi message set to control change.
In Cue Control of SCS it sees the Bear Bars Adapter fine but cannot fathom out the configration to represent the "Go" and the midi test doesnt display anything at all.
All help appreciated.

"Go" button using midi
Re: "Go" button using midi
Hi,
in device manager define a Cue Control device (MIDI In), select the Bear Bars adapter as In port, select Custom as control method, select MIDI channel 1.
Below the MIDI assignments list, scroll down to 'Go' Button. Select Control Change (BnH). Select 40 and 127 for the cc and vv values (40 is Your controller number and 127 the value sent when pressing the button). Hit Apply Device Changes. Voila!
Have fun, Jörg
