Audio Interface

Ladies and Gents,

Forgive the newbie question. I've been searching and can't find a direct statement and what seems to be implied, I just want to be sure of. I don't have an audio interface, but will purchase one soon. SO, you can assign the audio interface's inputs as outputs in SCS?

Say I purchase the Behringer U-Phoria UMC404HD. In SCS, I assign an audio cue to channel one once all set up. The input channel 1 on the audio interface, normally used for mic or instrument inputs, becomes an output to go to amplifiers for the speakers associated with that signal?

Thanks for any help. A friend is opening an escape room soon. We need 1 computer to run 2 separate audio signals for 2 rooms with a live mic as well and are trying to figure this out.

No. Input channels are inputs only and output channels are outputs only.
It looks like the U-Phoria has at least 4 outputs so you should be fine unless you need more.
