Reconnect device

Hello everyone,

I have been using SCS for several years and I have never had any problems, but a month ago I am encountering a problem that I can not identify:

I use a laptop with Windows 10, a Behringer mixing desk and a lightning desk with MIDI->USB cable; from time to time, in the middle of a show the lightning desk must lose the USB connection (I think...) and SCS when it releases a Control Send Cue it shows "Can not send Control Send # 1, # 2, # 3, # 4" although the the rest of Cues still work perfectly but I have to stop the show, close SCS and re-open SCS, which is a problem.

My question: is there any way to reconnect the MIDI cable to USB from the application without having to reboot SCS completely?

Thank you!

Have you disabled the "usb selective suspend" setting in control panel? This may fix the problem in the first place.

sjwicks is correct. Go to Control Panel>Power Options>Change Plan Settings>Change Advanced Power Settings
A window will come up.
Scroll down and choose USB Settings>USB selective suspend setting.
Choose DISABLE for both On Battery and Plugged In.
Click on OK.

That will make sure that your USB ports will have continuous power and not go to sleep, thus breaking connections with any devices in those ports.

Yes, I have that option disabled for a while but still keeps failing, I have also recently formatted Windows but it is still happening, the truth is that I don't know what it can be, so I ask if there is any way to reconnect from SCS because the lightning desk is still working despite this error.
Thank you!
