However, whatever I do, and following the instructions seemingly to the letter, when I run test, it only ever loops though the first of the four tracks and never drops through to the later tracks. What am I doing wrong please?Loop Linked: Audio File Cues with linked sub-cues may include a loop. The loop (if required) must be specified in the first of the Audio File sub-cues, and the loop may then also be automatically applied to the linked sub-cues. This Loop Linked checkbox is provided to indicate that any linked sub-cues are to have the loop applied to those sub-cues as well. Do NOT enter the loop details into the linked sub-cues or SCS will break the 'link'. Note that the Loop Linked property only loops correctly if the BASS mixer is used (or you use ASIO instead of DirectSound). SCS automatically switches (if necessary) to using the BASS mixer if when loading a cue file it finds one or more cues using the Loop Linked property.

I have SCS11 Lite and am struggling with something that I thought should be easy. I need to set up 4 audio tracks that loop sequentially and continuously until stopped with a SFR cue. I've found the section in help:

Could you email me a diagnostic file? You can create this file by selecting 'Create Diagnostic File' from the drop-down menu displayed when you click the Help button in the main window. The file will be saved in a folder named "SCS Diagnostics" under "Documents" or "My Documents".

Re: OK ... so I'm stupid ... or maybe not
Thanks for the diagnostic file - I understand what you are trying to do, but the 'loop linked' feature is not intended for this purpose. The cue has 4 audio file sub-cues and as I understand it you want to play sequentially through all 4 sub-cues and then repeat from the start, and do this continually until the cue is faded out and stopped by an SFR cue. 'Linked' cues (or sub-cues) are different. Linked cues are those you want to play synchronously and that are to be kept in sync.
What you want to do can be achieved using a Playlist Cue. Just build the playlist with the required audio files and set the 'repeat' property. However, SCS Lite does not support playlist cues so you will need to upgrade your license to SCS Standard.

OK thanks Mike. That works a treat.
