Remote App
Remote App
Hey
there are a lot of nice new features in 11.5. (x64) One is called Remote App. I took a look in the Documentation, which told me it should work with professional (wich i got). But using my android and some telnet or udp apps it will not work ;(
Does it work with professional? It would just be nice to set go/ pause/ Stop all by my phone. Any idea?
thx for your help

Re: Remote App
A remote app called SCSremote is being written independently by an SCS user and should be available soon. Some changes have been made in SCS to provide the required interface to this app. I've run pre-release versions of the app on my Android phone. The app provides basic facilities such as Go, Stop All, Pause/Resume All, Next, Back, Go Top and Master Level control. You can also view the cue list and touch any cue to go to and play that cue.
The developer of the app is still working on some changes and refinements.

Re: Remote App
SCSRemote looks interesting.
I wish to be a beta tester if availlable.

Re: Remote App
Hey Mike,
thanks for the information.
Can you tell me whether i need SCS Pro or SCS Pro plus for the App?
I tried Telnet and UDP commands by my own but all i got in "test remote app Interface" was connected and disconnected Messages. Also i didn't find the commands i should been sending to get this work.
When I take a look in the options in SCS - Session Options - Cue >Control Devices there are all marked as "Not required for this production". Maybe thats the fault.

Jens

Re: Remote App
You need a Pro or higher license. The remote app must be set up to communicate with SCS via a valid IP address - see Options and Settings - Remote App Interface for more info. Also, make sure you have 'Remote App Interface Enabled' on that Options and Settings item in SCS. Finally, since the app functions via a wireless connection you will probably need a wireless router connected to your computer.

Re: Remote App
I've emailed the developer for the latest info. The last version I received from him was close to fully working, so I would expect the app to be completed soon. The initial release will be for Android.
Re: Remote App
I tested a very early release that worked well, but I got no more beta releases.Mike Daniell wrote:I've emailed the developer for the latest info. The release I tested looked very useful. I will buy a copy as soon as it where available.
