(Fix 11.4.0.3] Audio fade ins starting with a burst of sound

Hi.
Can anyone explain this...
When moving the start point of an audio track into the track, then fading up using ANY system I can find (trying to draw a fade up in the graph window, setting a start time and fade in time etc) there always seems to be a very short burst of full level audio released before the output drops away to -inf and then fades in again over the specified time.
I'm sure this never used to be the case..... and it makes starting a track internally impossible.
Now using 11.3.7 , with Win7 in Bootcamp on a MacPro,
Asio Using Bass, Maudio Fast Track Ultra 8R

Any ideas?

Are the audio files WAV, MP3 or some other format? Cue, subcue or playlist? Does the problem occur with all of them?

I've just upgraded from 11.2.5 to 11.4.0.2 at Church

I opened up the cue file from last week's show to play with the new features. I added a 'Fade in' level point, and I'm getting this same behaviour.

I've brought the cue file home and upgraded my PC at home to 11.4.0.2 and the same happens.

Any .wma, .wav or .mp3 file where I go the editor, click the cue, right-click on the audio graph and pick 'Add Fade in level point' then hit Play in the test area will play a loud burst of the track for <1 second at normal volume then immediately drop to -INF and fade up as it should.

The same happens for cues already in the file, that I've been using all week, or for samples I've just added to test it with.

Mike, I'll send you a diag and cue file.

Peter
