Error on startup

Post by domiii » Tue May 16, 2006 1:20 pm

Hi all,

I can't get 9.1.5 to start up. First I get this error:

SCS Error

Error 7 Out of memory
SCS V9.1.5
ProcName = loadCueFile
CueFile = C:\Program Files\Sound Cue System 9\demo\demo.scs

Then a few seconds later this:

Sound Cue System

Run-time error '7':

Out of memory

Even after deleting the demo folder I still get an error that SCS can't load demo.scs

Help!

What Windows version are you using (eg Windows XP, 98, ME, etc)?

Also, how much main memory do you have?

That should be ample. I have XP SP2 with only 256Mb RAM and SCS 9.1.5 loads and runs perfectly.

Have you successfully loaded and run SCS 9.1.4 or any other earlier version of SCS 9?

Can you run dxdiag and email me the results? In Windows, click Start, Run, and in the 'open' box type dxdiag and click the OK button. The DirectX Diagnostic Tool will be opened. Click the button labelled 'Save all information'. This will ask you where you want to save the info (ie what file to save it to). When you have saved this info you can close the program. If you email me the file you saved it may help in working out why you get the error.
