This note is for anyone considering using SCS. I've been using it for a couple of years now. I volunteer for our school plays as well as church functions. I have taught 12 year olds how to operate and program SCS. With 15 years in theatrical sound and lighting design before changing careers I was able to program my first show within the 30 minute trial time so I paid for it and have been happy ever since (I can do more with this program than any reel to reel I ever used). I'ved used the program for middle school and high school productions, talent shows (no keeping track of 20-30 discs), our church clown troup and and puppet ministry use it as well. I bought a decent used laptop ($250.00) and just use the headphone out (I know there are better ways) to plug into the sound system so I don't need to worry about damaging or losing my good laptop.
I'm looking forward to playing with the new upgrades in v9. I had wished for many of the enhancements and look forward to using them.
So, to those of you considering purchasing SCS. Just do it.
