[In 11.3.0] MEMO cue on second display?
Hi all,
It might already be in there (11.2.5), but I haven't found it yet. Is it possible to play the MEMO cue on a 2nd display (as well)? I'd like to use this in a show to cue some actors. With a second monitor backstage we could 'announce' a cue without speaking/sound/intercom. Also we could cue the actors with this same technique with a monitor above the audience.
Ofcourse this can be achieved by an image cue as well but when the cue has to be changed (e.g. on a different text) then we have to render a new image with the updated cue. A memo cue would be perfect...
Thanks for any help.
Kind regards

Re: MEMO cue on second display?
There's currently only one display location for the memo cue, although you can drag that wherever you want. If there's more interest in having an optional duplicated display then this could be done.

Re: MEMO cue on second display?
Should the 'Memo cue on second display' be full-screen, with no title bar etc?

Yes that would be correct. It would be for using text output to a projector so no Titlebar.
Good news on the Video cross fade Mike. I will beta test of you need someone to.

Re: MEMO cue on second display?
The ability to display Memo cues on a secondary screen is now available in SCS 11.3.0 RC1. Let me know if there are any issues with this implementation.

HI Mike,
Thanks so much for adding the memo on a second screen it will come in very handy.
One more thing if it is possible to make it fade in and out then that would be great
I have shown SCS to lots of amature theatre groups most of them have now purchased a copy knowing how good the software and support is.
Thanks again for your hard work.
Greig.

I have been considering this, but the mod I will have to make is fairly complicated and you could manually do something similar to the proposed mod!enigmatheatre wrote:One more thing if it is possible to make it fade in and out then that would be great
To provide fades of a displayed memo requires SCS to capture the memo display and create an image file of the captured display. The image can then be faded in and out just as with a video/image cue. So until that feature is added to SCS what you could do is take a screenshot of the memo displayed on your secondary screen, save it as an image file, and then use a video/image cue instead of a memo cue.

Re: MEMO cue on second display?
HI Mike,
This is kind of what I have to do at the moment but I make it up in powerpoint then export the slide as a jpeg then import it in to SCS. I find a very long way of doing things so if there was a way to "Automate" the process then I would be very greatfull.
Thanks again.
