New user question

Post by Lynx » Sat Apr 29, 2006 5:51 am

Hi all,
I have just discovered SCS and I am playing with the demo vesion.
During theatre productions I often need to stop a looped sound immediately as another starts.

With the SCS demo, I have discovered the option to set a Stop Cue to stop an earlier sound, 0.01 seconds after the latest sound starts. (Is this the way to do it?)
Hope thats clear.

My actual question is, will this option be available if I buy the Lite version?

Yes, you can do this with SCS-Lite.

You can set up cues similar to Q3 and Q4 in the SCS 9 demo. Here Q3 is a looping cue, and Q4 contains two sub-cues: the first sub-cue is the audio file that will 'interrupt' the looping cue, and the second sub-cue stops the looping cue. The audio file sub-cue in Q4 will be started before the second sub-cue stops Q3, so there is no break in the sound (provided you don't have any silence at the start of your second audio file). It is therefore not necessary to specify a 0.01 second delay.
