Show Cue System

I am using windows xp. I have set the screen to extended. The slide runs in power point and viewer. The image is on the scs screen but I can't get the image up. I have tried using screen 2 thru 4 but no luck. I am using the vga output on the laptop. I have used previous versions and everything worked. Looking for ideas.

Could you email me a diagnostic dump file? You can create this file by starting SCS and selecting 'Create Diagnostic Dump File' from the drop-down menu displayed when you click the Help button in the main window. The file will be saved in a folder named "SCS Dumps" under "Documents" or "My Documents".

Hi.
I have had a similar problem tonight at the amateur theatre I work at.
The new production requires a TV screen to work so we tried to use SCS 11.1.4 to send video to "Screen 2". Nothing doing. No stills, no video.

Without the second screen connected the 'small display' in SCS main window showed file running etc.
Add the second screen and this disappears, windows sees the second screen (idents it as screen 2, i can move windows to it, the mouse appears etc etc. ). But nothing out of SCS.

Desperate to get something working I re-installed 10.9.7... everything fine!!..... but the SCS 11.1.4 still installed still doesn't want to play. Can't do diagnostics on that machine: no time spare at the theatre, sorry.

Makes me reluctant to try 11.2........Video really seems to be a problem......

Dead right For audio files SCS uses BASS or SoundMan-Server and both products are solid and don't give me any headaches. Video files, however, are another story. The best library/SDK I've found so far is the VisioForge library which is now being integrated into SCS 11.2.1.

But none of the issues with video files should affect the processing of still images, so I don't know why you wouldn't see still images on screen 2.

In SCS 10.9.7, which Video Playback library do you have selected? (See Permanent Options / General.)

Sorry Mike, can't tell you until I return to the theatre on Sunday. I did try the variations while using 11.1.4 and they didn't seem to help. It all works here at home of course.....!!!! I will also try the RC4 of 11.2. I was hoping to stop upgrading all the time: the theatre 'staff' are not good at change.

One other thing while talking of videos: I want this TV to start muted but then be turned up: thought I might be able to use a Level Change Q...but error messages result! (this is reasonable I suppose... one doesn't want to change video levels.....)
Is there a way of doing this? Leaving the video running but changing the audio level? In ANY version?!

Should work OK. I've just tested this with 11.1.4, 11.1.5 and 11.2.1 RC4 and the level change works OK in all versions. What error messages are you getting?

I was obviously trying to adjust Q26, a MWA video file, set at -inf audio at start and wishing to increase output.....
